Phoenix High School Equestrian Team
is a great opportunity to show your school spirit while doing what you enjoy!!!

This Equine program is for High School Students who want to be challenged, build character and do the sport they love while helping to contribute to the equine industry in Southern Oregon and around the state!

Primary Practices for the 2023/2024 Season are held at Hidden Meadows Estate 4130 Thompson Creek Rd, Applegate OR 97530. This location works best for the majority of the team. HM is donating their facility to the Phoenix team. Practice starts November 1st and will be two days a week at HM!

Depending on growth and need, we will consider other practice locations, if there is an additional coach to cover the new locations. Athletes can request permission to practice their events with another team at a different location if they prefer. The other team must be willing to absorb you into their practice you might owe arena fees to the other team.

Practice Dates:

Every Tuesday from 6pm-9pm covered arena. We will have a snack break but no dinner break. Athletes will need to be fed before practice.

2nd practice will be on Thursday from 6pm-9pm covered arena.
Weekend and Holiday practices will be scheduled as needed.

Practice Nights are required for Phoenix Riders to keep their spots on team events!

Absences must be excused or prearranged. If you have too many excused absences on nights team events are practiced, you may end up loosing your spot on team events, such as Drill.

You MUST contact (call or text) Coach (Jessica Rollins- program her into your phone) if you will be late or unable to come to a practice or meeting. DO NOT tell another team member to have them relay the message. You are allowed excused absences from practices or meetings in the case of emergency situations (i.e. major injury or illness to you, your immediate family, or your horse) or another school academic or sport activity in which you are participating (Approved by Rollins). Absences must be pre arranged with the Head Coach. Practices may be cancelled for the entire team do to weather conditions.
